'Twas a hot sunny day, and I was out for a blast on my trusty R1, when the oil warning light comes on. No problem - I pull into a certain petrol station and buy some oil.
As I approach my bike, I realise: 1) How sweaty my hands are 2) How hot (and now sweaty too) the little black twizzle cap for oil top-up is, and 3) What look you can expect from an outraged dad as you curse in front of his little angels* 'cos your sweaty hands are slipping painfully.
Suddenly - I remember: the Scarab in my omni-present rucksack (along with spare evening-friendly visor and wet-weathers)...I twizzle the pliers open, get 'em on the filler cap, and Hey Presto! problem solved. (Well I couldn't ask for help could I - I'm a bloke)
So: better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. In fact, using that basis, you'd better buy the lot.
* little angels? - I bet given half the chance they'd nobble me with a sticklebrick and stroll over my twitching body to spend the cash they'd just lifted. Gits.
